Michael Joseph Jackson known as the "King of Pop", was an American musician and one of the most commercially successful and influential entertainers of all time. His highly publicized personal life made him a prominent figure in popular culture for over four decades. Even his death was as controversial as his entire life. On June 25th 2009 Michael Jackson died suddenly of a reported cardiac arrest. He was 50 years old. There are still so many unanswered questions. How did Michael Jackson die, how long was he unconscious before 911 was called, and why did Conrad Murray, Michael's in-house cardiologist, later disappear? Jackson arrived for rehearsal at Staples Center around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, according to a magician who was there. The singer complained of laryngitis and did not rehearse until 9 p.m. "He looked great and had great energy," the magician added. The rehearsal went past midnight. Jackson's personal physician, cardiologist Conrad Murray, said through his attorney that he spent the night at Jackson's rented mansion at the singer's request. The next morning Jackson did not come out of his bedroom. Murray entered the room in the afternoon and found Jackson in bed and not breathing. There was a weak pulse and his body was still warm. Murray tried to revive Jackson for five to ten minutes, at which point he realized he needed to call for help... Only the election of President Barack Obama to the White House eclipsed the the death of the 'King of Pop' at the age of 50, research by Global Language Monitor (GLM) found.
