  1. The reviewer gave the book one star on Amazon because she found a typo, which she claimed proved that the source of this book was not Michael Jackson. The typo said that Prince was the family name on Michael mother's side. Well, Prince was, in fact, the grandfather's FIRST name, not his LAST. As the co-author, this was a simple typo on my part that changed what Michael said: “A family name on his mother's side,” to, “THE family name on his mother's side.” These things can happen when taking dictation, so I thank the reviewer for catching it. It’s already fixed on the website, and we’ll fix it in the book ASAP.
Of course, I’m delighted that the reviewer is open to the phenomenon of channeling, but a simple typo on my part is no reason to say this is NOT Michael Jackson. And the reviewer did not actually review the book but a website on which I posted a few excerpts. It would have been better if she had actually read the book before leaping to the conclusion she came to. By not reading the book itself, she missed the intense love that Michael had, and still has, for humanity, for Nature and the world’s children, which are his characteristic signature. So, I urge potential readers to look at the big picture and not be influenced by a skeptic’s knee-jerk reaction to a simple typo in a standalone, excerpted paragraph on a totally different website. Also, the reviewer was not privy to the many hours of interviews in which Michael revealed private details about his family and children that I deemed too personal for publication.
It’s a little sad when a total stranger intrudes on 8 months of our work with Michael and dismisses the whole thing as ‘nonsense’ over a typo, without even having read the book. Even sadder when Michael poured a huge amount of energy into his book, to reach out to his family and fans, and someone comes along and trashes all his efforts as ‘nonsense.’ However, Michael warned us that we would be a target for skeptics/debunkers, but added that enough open-minded people would be amenable to reading his book that it would justify all our hard work.
As for ‘seeking fame,’ Michael initially went to Lary and begged him to write the book, pestering him relentlessly. Lary was very dubious about the project, but after several weeks of constant bombardment 24/7, he agreed as a personal favor to Michael but only if I would help him. I knew this would mean a lot of hard work but eventually I too agreed. After 8 grueling months of channeling and transcribing, we delivered this book, and Michael was delighted. After 30 years in metaphysics, I know real channeling, and “Messages from Michael” channeled through Lary is as real as it gets.
The final word on the fame thing: as the book explains, Lary is already famous for his impersonation and “Elvis Mania” shows. For my part, having had nine other books published, I already enjoy all the fame I need, so do not need to go digging for more. Before passing judgment on my motives, I suggest the reviewer looks at the big picture of what’s really going on here – the book that Michael wanted, to say he is still connected to his family, especially his three children, his friends and all his fans. The book also contains messages to several people, such as Liz Taylor, that only they will understand … because Lary and I don’t.
